Dr. Sylvie Kristoff

Dr. Kristoff is a dedicated dentist with deep roots in the Munster community, having graduated from Munster High School in 2013. Dr. Kristoff pursued her passion for the sciences, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from IUPUI in 2016. During her time at IUPUI, Dr. Kristoff developed a strong interest in research and was awarded grants to work at the Oral Health Research Institute (OHRI). There, she focused on studying the relationship between oral plaque buildup, bacterial cultures, and smoking’s effects on atherosclerosis.
Following her graduation, she joined Eli Lilly, where she played a significant role in the insulin drug discovery and development team, contributing to the development of Ozempic. Although she enjoyed her experience at Eli Lilly, Dr. Kristoff realized her true passion lay in directly interacting with patients.
In 2022, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Kristoff took on leadership roles, serving as president of Delta Sigma Delta and participating in Give Kids a Smile. She finds immense joy in being part of her patients’ lives and helping them achieve their dream smiles. Dr. Kristoff believes that the confidence to smile can significantly enhance mental health and overall quality of life.
Her commitment to dentistry extends beyond patient care; she is passionate about the connection between oral health and overall health. Dr. Kristoff recognizes that an unhealthy mouth can lead to serious medical conditions and complications, and she is dedicated to making a positive impact on her patients’ lives. She is a proud member of the CDA, ADA, AAFE, and NIDS and continuously seeks continuing education opportunities to stay at the forefront of dental advancements.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Kristoff enjoys spending quality time with her dogs, Zeus and Thor, and her family, most of whom reside in Northwest Indiana. She is an avid soccer player, enjoys snowboarding, loves music, and delights in exploring the diverse culinary scene in Chicago. Dr. Kristoff’s passion for dentistry, combined with her commitment to patient care, makes her a valued member of the dental community.
